Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond, etc.)

  • 2 tablespoons pure pumpkin puree

  • 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or sugar (to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of ginger)

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 shot (about 1–2 oz) strong coffee or espresso

  • Optional: whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla.

  2. Whisk continuously until the mixture is hot and smooth (do not let it boil), about 3–4 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat. Froth the mixture with a milk frother, immersion blender, or by vigorously whisking if you want it extra creamy.

  4. Pour the espresso or strong coffee into a mug.

  5. Add the warm pumpkin milk mixture on top.

  6. Top with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon if desired.

Tips

  • Taste and adjust sweetness or spice before pouring.

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use a double shot of espresso.

  • Leftover pumpkin puree freezes well in ice cube trays for future lattes.

Enjoy your cozy homemade pumpkin latte!
